Hi, today I just want to show you my list of the best luxury beach resorts in Cebu. Firstly, don't believe the brochures about Mactan island having beautiful white sandy beaches. It's not only the man made beaches that are good here, the rest are just ordinary. So if you come into Cebu for a beach holiday, I recommend staying at one of these luxury resorts in Mactan no more than a few nights and then head out to some of the more beautiful beaches.
Where is best beaches in Cebu?
The best beaches in Cebu are located in Bantayan island which has some picture perfect beaches, especially around April. Malapascua Island which is also located in North of Cebu also has some best beaches. Another group of islands the Camotes has some beautiful beaches too. If you want both beautiful beach with some luxury, I'd recommend going to Bohol, which is only a couple of hours ferry ride from Cebu and there's a number of luxury resorts there combined with magnificent beaches.
Back to Mactan, there are plenty of tourist activities in this island, such as diving, island hopping to some of the nearby islands where you can snorkel. Enjoy some fresh seafood barbeques ,laze around on a beautiful sandy Island. For nature lovers visit Olango Island Wildlife Sanctuary to see migrating birds.So here are my top luxury beach resorts in Mactan Cebu in no particular order:

Is a Mediterranean inspired beachfront hotel used to be called the Hilton. It's made up of two towers, one being the hotel. The most outstanding feature of the hotel is it's great Ibiza Beach Club restaurant area. Not only does it looks good, especially when the lights are out, just fantastic sit back and enjoy the beach atmosphere. At night there is live music, the grill food they serve here is just wonderful. The beachfront area isn't too bad, the beach, and rooms are modern and stylish and I'd recommend if you can afford it, getting one with the sea view. The rooms come with small balcony, complete with WiFi. The bathroom comes with bath cabin shower. The views from the sea view rooms are amazing. The higher the floor the better the view.

As its name suggests is a small nine room boutique resort, offering some of the most luxurious rooms in Mactan. It has a stylish infinity pool overlooking the ocean. If you're looking for a nice beach, this isn't the place to come though. It's a little bit of sand, but it's mediocre at best. Their in- house restaurant serve up some of the finest food in the island. The rooms as mentioned before are stylish and luxurious, some having their own private pool. Rooms are a great size ranging from 65 to 75 square meters. Service here is second to none, including your own butler to provide that extra personal service, truly a fantastic resort.

Is a 290 rooms resort that is centred around its multi level swimming pool. Not only great to look at but lovely to laze by on your vacation at night when the lights come out It just looks fantastic. There's a small beach but it's nothing fancy. The rooms are well furnished and comfortable. The bathrooms were nice and spacious and had a bath tub as well as shower. Some of the villas have a private pool as well as ocean views. The food at the restaurants was good including the great buffet breakfast.

Is a well recognised brand of resorts synonymous with excellence. This huge resort instability is up to its brand name with one of the best beaches in Mactan although man-made a great family friendly beach. If you're tired of the beach, there are a number of great swimming pools to try out or laze by, the food at the restaurants is excellent with the buffets been some of the best on Mactan. The rooms are great and fantastic to stay at. The more expensive ones having some amazing views of the ocean.

Is one of the biggest resorts on the island. It's popular water park is its iconic feature, making it extremely family friendly. With plenty of different rides and pools for kids of all ages. Perfect place to cool off with the family from Cebu’s tropical heat. The standard rooms are good, with the villas offering a bit more luxury, as well as having their own private plunge pool or jacuzzi. The food is good too, with terrific buffets.
So what is my favorite luxury resort in Mactan?,well for me the real winner is the Shangri La resort and Spa, a beautiful resort with wonderful beach, nice pools and lovely landscaped grounds. The rooms are fantastic too and it's my pick of the bunch.
