Unknown to many beach goers the province of Camarines Sur is gifted a beautiful resort
known as Bagolatao Bach Resort located in the municipality of Minalabac. Accessible by
land and not too far from Naga City, Bagolatao can be reach for one and one half hours
of road travel from Naga City. This makes Bagolatao beach ideal for people who resides in
Naga City and nearby areas who are looking for a new beach destination.
Last summer I had the opportunity and was able to visit this gorgeous beach which always
intrigues me because of the nice things I've heard about it. It was my wife's family
gatherings agreed to be held in this beach, that brought me in this place. They never go
wrong in suggesting this place as the venue of the occassion. The beach is totally beautiful.
I've been to different beaches in Camarines Sur but nothing matches Bagolatao which has a
distinct long shore line of varieties of pebble stones and because of its crystal clear waters
which you can actually see the bottom of the sea.
One more thing I like in this beach is the availability of fresh fish. Fishermen roam around the
beach and trying to sell some newly catch fishes for a minimal amount. Fresh fish grilled by
the beach are unforgettable and what I loved most in my Bagolatao beach experienced. Open cottages
can be rented for Php 200.00 and if you want to experience island hopping in Bagolatao there are
residents along the shore who are willing to make their boat rented for as low as Php 500.00.
I just feel sad seeing trash along the shores and in the waters of the beach. I think the local
leaders of Bagolatao must act on this to preserve this wonderful beach that we Bicolanos can be
proud of.
