How To Go To Caramoan Via RORO ( Roll On Roll Off)

How to go to Caramoan? What if I'm driving my own car? These are some of the questions that this article will be answering. RORO ship does allow vehicles on board but because of the space and weight limitation of their cargo bay they priotized boarding public utility vehicles (eg. buses) and cargo haulers (trucks carrying commodities). Fortunately, for people who drives their own vehicle Nato Port which is situated in Sangay, Camarines Sur does have paid parking area just beside the port entrance. Nato port is one of the transit point going to Caramoan and the nearest if you are coming from the South  (Manila). Nato port private parking charge Php 100.00 for 1-12 hours parking duration. 

We arrived early at 6:15AM at Nato port we were able to catch the first departure of the ship at 6:30AM. We were a bit lucky because of the fair weather condition and a calm sea during our 2 and 1/2 hours of journey going to Caramoan. It was a long journey but the beautiful scenery that can be seen on the ship"s deck is worth the wait. We bought a ticket for the air-con section of the ship but I spent most of our travel time on the ship"s deck enjoying the views and taking pictures.




We reached Guijalo port in Caramoan at around 9:05AM and was picked up by the Gota Village Resort shuttle service. It was another 1 hour travel from Guijalo port to Gota Village Resort.
